Grace Williams

About the Artist

Grace Williams is a 23 year old narrative artist whose bright, whimsical paintings and murals draw viewers into her imagination and centers stories Black women, girls, and history. Hailing from Springfield, Arkansas, she attended Duke University for her undergraduate studies, earning a degree in Public Policy and African and African American studies. Her art combines her love of education with her mission of encouraging the communities around her. Williams paints with the intention of placing Black women and Black cultural images in a different light and context than what society typically places them in-- images of honor, joy, power, and celebration. As a 2025 Duke graduate, Grace has transitioned from student to full-time emerging artist, and is quickly gaining recognition for her murals and artwork.
